New PTE Academic Test Center Opens in Italy

A new PTE Academic test center was opened in Italy earlier in April, giving local applicants the opportunity to sit the test in their own country.

Applicants can now take PTE Academic every Wednesday at the Pearson Italia test center in Milan, scheduling up to 24 hours in advance and getting results typically within five business days – often much quicker with over 85% of results returned within two days in 2018.

Accepted by 98% of UK universities

PTE Academic is recognized by thousands of programs in the USA, 100% of Australian, New Zealand and Irish universities, over 98% of UK universities, and 90% of Canadian. It is also one of the few language qualifications accepted for visa purposes by the Australian and New Zealand governments.

PTE Academic assesses listening, reading, speaking, and writing all via computer in a single three-hour test session. During the test, you will find 20 different question formats, ranging from multiple choice through to essay writing and interpreting information. Scores range from 10 to 90 and are valid for two years.

Resources available

The PTE Academic test center in Milan is located in via Arconati 1 (Porta Vittoria Station, bus 92, tram 12). Pearson provides plenty of preparation resources to get ready for the exam, such as the PTE Academic Official Practice app, which offers exercises, training for each of the four exams, tips, and activities for every day, as well as a scored practice test – a full length simulation of the test.
