The core courses prepare you to apply a wide range of skills in real-word business settings. You will gain an understanding of essential business principles such as financial accounting, business analytics, marketing strategy, leadership and finance—and develop interpersonal skills with courses relating to organizational behavior, negotiations and leadership.

Rice is a very tight knit community that feels like family. It has big school connections and professors with a small school feel. It is wonderful.
The people make the program and the school makes sure the people there contribute to a positive experience. This includes professors, staff, students, speakers, etc.
The faculty are too good. I have spoken to couple of students at similar ranked and better ranked universities and they are struggling with understanding the coursework because of the bad faculty. But I guess since these schools have better recruitment outcomes, rating agencies overlook the learning aspect and rank these universities higher. For me learning is also very important and so I value being at Rice a lot.
Small and Collaborative. Students have a voice that does not fall on deaf ears. Deans solicit feedback every week and make changes quickly. Students contribute a lot by taking on leadership roles and running events.
